Extend Finance Ltd - Cookie Policy

Find out which cookies the Extend Finance website uses, why we use them and how you can control your cookie preferences.

Legal document

This Cookie Policy explains how Extend Finance Ltd uses cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels, tags and browser storage) on https://extendfinance.co.uk, which we own and operate (“the Website”), why we use them and how you can control them.

We use security, consent management, live chat, analytics and advertising technologies. The sections below explain their purposes and how you can manage cookies.

If you have any questions about this Cookie Policy or how we use cookies, please contact us at info@extendfinance.co.uk.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, smartphone, tablet or other device) when you visit a website. They enable the website to recognise your device, remember your preferences and improve your browsing experience.

Cookies may be set by the website you are visiting (first-party cookies) or by other organisations (third-party cookies), for example providers of analytics or advertising services.

2. Why do we use cookies?

We use cookies in order to:

  • keep the Website working and secure, including protecting our contact form from spam and bots,
  • provide features such as page navigation, the contact form and our live chat,
  • understand how visitors use the Website so that we can improve it,
  • with your consent, measure and improve our advertising on Google, Facebook and Instagram.

The tools we currently use are described in section 3.

3. Types of cookies we use

3.1. Security and consent management

These technologies support website security and record your consent choices. They include:

  • Cloudflare – our website hosting and security provider. Cloudflare uses security and bot-protection tools on the Website, and Cloudflare Turnstile checks that contact form submissions come from a real person.
  • Sirdata – our consent management platform. It shows the cookie banner and stores the choices you make so that we can respect them.

If you block these technologies in your browser, parts of the Website, such as the contact form, may not work correctly.

3.2. Functional / preference cookies

The consent management platform stores your cookie choices. You select the language by following a link to the English or Polish version of the page.

3.3. Analytics cookies

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the Website – for example which pages are visited most often, how long visits last and which devices and browsers are used. We use this information to improve the Website and tailor it to user needs.

We use Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google) and Zoho PageSense (provided by Zoho) for website analytics. Until you make a choice in our cookie banner, analytics storage is set to “denied” by default. Zoho PageSense only runs if you accept analytics cookies.

If you accept analytics cookies and enter your email address in our contact form, we store that email address in a first-party cookie called contact_form_email for up to 365 days and pass it to Zoho PageSense, so that your visits to our Website can be linked to your enquiry.

3.4. Marketing / remarketing cookies

Marketing and remarketing cookies may be used to display adverts that are more relevant to your interests or to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns (for example Google Ads). These cookies are typically set by third-party marketing providers.

We use Google Ads (including conversion tracking and the Google Conversion Linker) and Meta Pixel (provided by Meta, for Facebook and Instagram advertising) to measure the results of our advertising. Until you make a choice in our cookie banner, advertising storage is set to “denied” by default. Meta Pixel only runs if you accept advertising cookies.

One of our Google Ads conversion tags uses enhanced conversions. If you have accepted advertising cookies and successfully submit our contact form, it can send the email address and phone number you entered to Google, after hashing with SHA-256, for matching against Google accounts. This matching helps measure advertising results. Hashing does not make the data anonymous.

3.5. Third-party cookies

Some of the services we use are provided by other companies, which may set their own cookies or use similar technologies. The third-party tools currently used on our Website are:

  • Google Tag Manager – manages analytics and marketing tags on the Website;
  • Sirdata – the consent management platform that shows our cookie banner and records your choices;
  • Google Analytics 4 – website analytics;
  • Google Ads, including conversion tracking – measuring the results of our advertising;
  • Meta Pixel – measuring the results of our Facebook and Instagram advertising;
  • Zoho PageSense – website analytics and visit insights;
  • Zoho SalesIQ – the live chat on our website;
  • Cloudflare – website hosting, security, bot protection and our contact form service.

Zoho SalesIQ is loaded whether or not you accept optional cookies in our cookie banner, so it may set or read its own cookies or similar technologies even if you reject optional cookies.

4. Cookie consent and managing your preferences

When you first visit our Website, you may be asked to give consent for certain categories of cookies via a cookie banner or pop-up. You can choose to accept all cookies, reject them or select specific categories according to your preferences.

If you have questions about your choices or withdrawing consent, contact us at info@extendfinance.co.uk. The browser settings described below let you manage stored cookies; deleting cookies does not itself withdraw every consent previously given.

Please note that blocking some cookies in your browser, especially strictly necessary ones, may affect how the Website works, for example the contact form.

5. Managing cookies in your browser

You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can change the settings to block cookies or alert you when cookies are being set.

Instructions for managing cookies are usually available in the “Help” section of your browser. You can also visit the official support pages of popular browsers, including:
